Meet Gordie
Born and raised in Gravenhurst. Small business owner, community volunteer, and fifth generation local.
Rooted in Gravenhurst, Committed to Our Community!
Gravenhurst isn’t just where I live, it’s who I am. Born and raised right here in the Gateway to Muskoka, I grew up walking these streets, attended our local schools and built my life surrounded by our lakes, running through our forests and making lifelong bonds with the hardworking people who make Muskoka home. My family has deep roots here, five generations, and like so many of you, everything I do is driven by a desire to keep Gravenhurst a welcoming, safe and vibrant place for the next generation to put down their own roots.
As a local entrepreneur and longtime community volunteer, I know firsthand what it takes to build something from the ground up in our community. Running a small business teaches you real accountability, the value of every dollar and the necessity of serving people with honesty and respect. I understand the year round challenges our local workforce and commercial operators face, not just during the peak summer rush but straight through the quiet winter months when local families keep our town moving.
Long before filing nomination papers to run in this election, my focus has always been on stepping up when someone needs a hand. Whether it’s organizing neighbourhood initiatives, backing efforts to protect public waterfront access, or simply showing up to support community members when challenges arise, helping people is my passion. I believe real community service doesn’t wait for a title or an election year. It’s about listening, working collaboratively and making sure every neighbour feels seen, respected and heard.
A Voice for Everyone
I am running in this election to bring the voice of our community to the table, to make sure no one is left behind, and to ensure everyone has a voice, whether you voted for me or not.
