The Plan

My Platform

I envision a future for Gravenhurst where no one gets left behind, every voice is heard, and when we disagree, we can still sit down for coffee and be neighbours long after the debate is done.

James Street Sidewalks

I will introduce an immediate motion directing Town staff to investigate the installation of sidewalks and multiuse pathways along James Street for inclusion in the upcoming capital budget. Our children and residents should never be forced to walk along narrow, snowy and unsafe road shoulders.

Lookout Park Stairs

I will bring forward an immediate motion to end the endless deferrals and lock the Lookout Park stairs directly into the 2027 Town budget so they finally get built. Public access to our waterfront must be protected.

Responsible Development

I stand firmly for protecting our shorelines and lake health by opposing overdevelopment and making full use of our municipal oversight and community input mechanisms. Growth in Gravenhurst must respect our Official Plan, safeguard water quality and natural ecosystems, and reflect the character of our community, ensuring decisions are made transparently right here at the local council table.

Connecting Gravenhurst

I want to explore practical and accessible public transit options, including off season service and an iconic heritage style that connects the Wharf, our downtown core and local businesses in between. By linking our neighbourhoods and commercial hubs, we can support local merchants and build a truly connected community where no one is left behind.

Common Sense Urban Backyard Chickens

I will support updating our Official Plan and Zoning Bylaws to allow backyard hens in urban residential areas, supporting local food security for everyday families. By establishing a balanced, common sense framework with clear rules on flock limits, coop setbacks, predator proofing, and a strict ban on roosters, we can respect neighbours while finally ending this debate.

Wharf & Downtown Revitalization

I will work collaboratively to modernize our Wharf Revitalization Plan and breathe new life into our downtown core, transforming these spaces into energetic four season community hubs. By activating Cockburn Square and the Lions Pavilion with year round outdoor activities, and supporting our local merchants with a revitalized, expanded BIA, we can build a thriving local economy that serves residents and visitors alike.

Your Voice

I’m not a one issue candidate. The priorities above are what I’ve heard most often at the door, but they are far from the only things that matter in Ward 1. If there’s an issue or concern in your neighbourhood that isn’t covered here, I want to hear about it.

Helping people is what I love to do. Whether it’s a problem on your street, a question about a Town bylaw, or a bigger idea for our community, reach out and let’s work on it together. No issue is too small, and no one gets left behind.
