Hitting the Pavement: Taking Our Grassroots Campaign Right to Your Door
Laced up my walking shoes, grabbed a fresh stack of flyers, and officially kicked off our door to door canvassing alongside an amazing crew of local volunteers. Over the next few months leading up to Election Day in late October, my goal is simple: visit as many doorsteps and kitchen tables across Ward 1 as humanly possible.
Real local leadership isn’t built behind a desk at Town Hall. It starts right on your front porch. We’re out here having honest, face to face conversations about the things that actually affect our everyday lives, from getting safe sidewalks on James Street and protecting our public shoreline at Lookout Park, to keeping our downtown core and Wharf bustling year round.
“You don’t learn what a neighbourhood truly needs by guessing from an office; you learn by walking the streets, knocking on doors, and listening to the folks who live there. I’m running to represent you, and that means meeting you where you are.”Gordie Merton
If you see our team in your neighbourhood, please wave us down! I’d love to hear your thoughts, answer your questions, or just say hello. Let’s keep building this momentum together!
