Gordie Merton Endorsed by the Muskoka Lakes Association for Ward 1 Councillor
I’m truly humbled and honoured to share that the Muskoka Lakes Association (MLA) has officially endorsed our campaign for Ward 1 Councillor. For years, the MLA has been a steady voice standing up for the health of our lakes, protecting our shorelines, and fighting for common sense planning that preserves what makes Muskoka home.
Having them put their confidence in our grassroots campaign means the world to me. It shows that when we talk about sensible development, safeguarding our water, and keeping local decision making right here in our community, we are on the right track. Together, we can protect the places we love while making sure Gravenhurst grows responsibly for the next generation.
“Earning the trust of the Muskoka Lakes Association is a huge honour. Standing up for our lakes and demanding sensible, transparent development isn’t about politics. It’s about protecting our backyard, our water, and our town’s future for our kids and grandkids.”Gordie Merton
A sincere thank you to the MLA for their support, and an even bigger thank you to every neighbour who has invited me onto their front porch, taken a lawn sign, and shared what’s on their mind. We’ve got plenty of pavement left to walk before the polls close on October 26, so let’s keep this momentum rolling!
